Madrid Day 3

  • Salamanca, Goya & Vespairos day. One word - Shopping!
  • Lunch - Primo menu del dia - mui bien! Clams with broad beans and fried chicken wings and home-made fries (patata frita). I was pretty sick of fried potatoes by the end. Taberna De El Toro - the restaurant was almost a shine to bull fighting.
  • Calle de Serrano - district/street for Spanish designer boutiques. Had my 2nd Zara binge (first was at Goya) @ Zara Home (check out www.zarahome.com) and bought some souvenirs for the peeps back home. Can't wait for Paris.
  • Brushing up on Francais so that this 'gringa' does not get caned by some French language nazi. The spelling is so tough! Found out that paella order was minumum of 2, so no Valencia paella this time.
  • God, the hostel smells like old laundry.
  • Roommate's from Sao Paolo, Brazil. Leaving got Dublin tomorrow. Again, guys should really use the bathroom to dress.
