Paris Day 4

• Last day in Paris. Day of just walking and enjoying Seine.
• Went to Chatelet and to the Seine where all shops were still closed at 0900hrs (advertised hours start at 1100hrs).
• Went to Hotel de Ville and checked out Madeleine, another great row of classy shops. The best was a superstore called the Gallery Lafayette, which had the cutest mechanised window displays. The Bouquinistes were not on when I was at the Seine but there would not have been time all the same for shopping.
  
• The trip to the airport was quite smooth. Arrived at London @ 1500hrs. Got to cousin K's in Paddington at 1700hrs. We joined Smally and P at the Witherspoon which is part of a chain of pubs across England. Had a good beef ale pie that was so filling that I couldn't stomach the thought of dessert.
